Thong Nhat General Hospital Raises VND1.2 Billion for Charity in 2009

In the past years, Thong Nhat General Hospital has attached special importance to social activities and “gratitude movement” with a broad range of practical activities, such as supporting Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, caring martyrs tombs, taking care of poor patients, in coordination with Children Action Association to conduct operations for handicapped children inside and outside the province, Cataract surgery for poor patients, free medical check-ups for the elderly, etc.

According to
the report released by the hospital in the Prominent Example Conference, in
2009, charity movements have been continued and expanded with total cost to the
tune of VND1,250,354,895 for certain outstanding activities, such as free health
check-ups outside the hospital, free surgery of handicapped children (worth
VND259,503,856), free medical check-ups for the poor (worth VND659,527,622),
free dental check-ups for children, supporting Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, and so
on.
