A. FUNCTIONS, TASKS AND POWER.

Long Khanh Town has 15 administrative units, including:

6 wards: Xuan Trung, Xuan Thanh, Xuan An, Xuan Binh, Xuan Hoa and Phu Binh.

9 communes: Bau Tram, Suoi Tre, Bao Vinh, Xuan Tan, Xuan Lap, Bau Sen, Bao Quang, Hang Gon and Binh Loc.

  • The People’s Committee of Long Khanh Town is elected by the Town’s People’s Council. It is a state administrative agency which is responsible to the Town’s People’s Council and senior state agencies.

  • It is responsible for implementation of constitution, law and documents of senior state agencies and resolutions of the town People’s Council to ensure guidelines and methods for socio-economic development, national defense and security and other policies to be implemented in the town.

  • In addition to tasks and power stipulated in articles No. 97, 98, 99, 100, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106 and 107 of Law on organizing People’s Committee and People’s Council, the Town People’s Committee performs the following tasks and power:

  • Overall building and developing the town; building technical infrastructure; ensuring public order, traffic, fire fighting and prevention; protecting environment and landscape; managing residents and organizing residents’ lives in the town.

  • Managing and examining the use of State-owned housing fund in the town; implementing decisions and treating violations of construction and illegal land encroachment.

  • Managing and checking the use and construction of public works, street lights, water supply and drainage system, urban traffic system, traffic safety and sanitary conditions in the town.

  • Managing local units of culture, information, and sports; protecting and promoting values of historic and cultural relics and landscapes which are under the town’s management.

II. OFFICE OF THE TOWN’S PEOPLE’S COUNCIL AND PEOPLE’S COMMITTEE

Functions and tasks: As a general consultative unit, it assists the Town’s People’s Council and People’s Committee with the following matters:
