Two provinces’ representative
leaders sign the memorandum
In the presence of two provinces’
leadership, both sides agreed to sign a memorandum of development cooperation
between now and 2015. The memorandum includes the following fundamental
contents:
- Within their functions and
authorities, both sides agree to promote friendly exchanges between two
provinces’ residents, and to implement exchange and cooperation programs in
2011-2015 period such as establishing tourism, trade, and investment promotion
missions to facilitate both sides’ businesses’ seeking for investment, market
expansion, and business cooperation opportunities.
- Development cooperation in the
areas of industry, agriculture, commerce, tourism, services, science and
technology, public health, and human resource training.
- Cultural and sport exchanges
held to form up mutual understanding, to create cooperation partnership, and to
build up a good friendship for both sides’ development.
Cooperation and exchanges,
learning experience in management fields related to economic development in two
provinces.
A Vice Chairperson of Dong Nai
People's Committee will be in charge of economic affairs and friendly
cooperation activities between Dong Nai and Champasak.
Similarly, a deputy chief of
Champasak province will be in charge of cooperation activities with Dong Nai.
Dong Nai Department of Foreign
Affairs and Champasak Department of Foreign Affairs act as contact people
between two provinces and take charge of establishing specific cooperation
programs and plans to implement the memorandum.
To reach targets, both sides keep
holding talks about contents and forms.
During the process of
implementation of the memorandum, if problems arise, both sides’ representatives
will have a talk, reach an agreement, and make adjustment.
