On the morning of September 29, Dong Nai Standing People’s Council held a joint meeting to approve the agenda of the 17th meeting (Session VII). Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee and Chairman of Dong Nai People's Council – Tran Dinh Thanh – chaired the meeting.

According to
the law, it is expected that the 17th year-end meeting (Session VII) will
examine and decide many vital issues such as the implementation of objectives
and tasks concerning economy, society, security, national defense in 2009 and
consideration and evaluation of basic construction in 2009 and tasks in 2010.
Sixteen resolutions are expected to be approved at the meeting. The 17th meeting
will take place for three days in mid-December.
