Phuong – made a speech at the meeting |
Over two years of implementing the resolution, there have been continual changes
to the activities of the women in the province according to the province’s
Women’s Association. More and more women have participated in these activities.
They have become more active and made more contribution to the development of
their families and society. However, the Association has some limitations,
especially the limitations on its staff’s educational level and professional
skills. Besides, training its junior female staff hasn’t received special
attention.
Addressing the meeting, Phuong asked all levels of Women’s Association to boost
up its propaganda and to encourage all levels of its members to contribute to
the carrying out the province’s tasks successfully with the intention of
preventing the economic downturn. Phuong added that the Association should
regularly check where loans have gone and how these loans have been used,
establish the criteria for building the women in the period of industrialization
and modernization and collaborate with the agencies and sectors in offering its
female staff refresher courses on professional skills and political theory.
