Nai leadership summons a meeting to review the results of serving
the people before, during and after Tet holidays |
After listening to departments and sectors’ reports, Mr. Tran Dinh Thanh –
Secretary of Dong Nai People’s Committee stressed: ‘Thanks to an enthusiastic
support from all levels of the Party committees, local authorities, Fatherland
Front Committees and unions and donations from businesses, benefactors and the
whole community, we were able to spend an economical Tet holidays in a
joyful and safe atmosphere”. The implementation of Dong Nai Party Committee and
People's Committee’s guidelines before, during and after Tet holidays achieved
good results. Dong Nai tightly focused on looking after government policy
beneficiaries, poor households and poor people in hinterland areas. Thanks to an
abundant storage of goods available during Tet holidays, especially necessities,
only minor price fluctuations occurred. Market inspection and control, combating
smuggling and counterfeit goods and maintaining food hygiene and safety were
closely followed, which prevented many problems from arising. Besides, social
order and security was kept and traffic flowed smoothly. However, Mr. Tran Dinh
Thanh noted that Bien Hoa was not decorated elaborately enough throughout New
Year holidays, which does not accord with its status – an administrative and
economic hub of the province. He added that it is necessary to keep enhancing
forest management and protection, including forest fire prevention and illegal
hunting and trapping, especially those in Cat Tien National Park and Vinh Cuu
Relics and Nature Reserve.
At the meeting, Chairman of Dong Nai People’s Committee – Vo Van Mot requested
that in the early months of 2010 departments, sectors and local authorities make
efforts to accomplish socio-economic tasks.
