Meeting to report in March

March 17, the provincial information and ideology center held a meeting to report on the situation of March 2009 in the provincial People’s Committee hall for the purpose of informing all delegates of the plans which follow Resolution no. 26-NQ/TW of the Central Party Committee (Session X) on “Agriculture, farmers and rural areas”, of the provincial Party Committee’s plans to form the intellectual team in the period of speeding up the country’s industrialization and modernization, of the left-wing situation, of the movement of communists and international workers in recent time and of the Party’s external affairs relations.

Next, the target until 2010 is that the growth rate of agricultural production
reaches 4 to 4.5% on average. The full development of the infrastructure of
technology, society and rural areas must ensure that the national grid is
accessible to the residential areas in 100% of the communes as planned, that the
rate of electricity-using households reaches 98%, that the rate of people using
pure water reaches 90%, that the pre-school network is available for mobilizing
18% of children to go to nursery schools and 70% of children go to
kindergartens. In terms of improving the rural inhabitants’ life quality: strive
to get high school education done, make post offices available in 100% of the
communes, ensure doctors’ presence at the communes’ clinics to provide medical
examination and treatment and reach 96% of the households which meet the
cultural-family standard – build a big intellectual team with high qualtiy and a
logical and full structure for the province – promote the intellectual
creativity to contribute to solving practical problems raised by the province
and strengthening the Alliance of workers, farmers and intellectuals – prepare
the conditions for building an intellectual economy and developing the
potentials of the intellectual team to contribute to achieving the targets of
industrializing and modernizing the country and making Dong Nai an industrial
province. The Party has taken the general view of the independent external
affairs, self-control, peace, cooperation and development and an open,
multilateral and diversified foreign policy. In parallel with the State and
public external affairs, the Party’s external affairs have been extended but
have focused on key points to greatly contribute to historically significant
achievements which all our Party, people and army have gained in the process of
renewal, accelerating the country’s industrialization and modernization,
constructing and protecting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and strengthen the
international position of Vietnam and its people.
