Mr. Le
Hong Phuong awarded the certificates of merit to clean and strong
grassroots Party units for three consecutive years |
In 2008, 887 grassroots Party units were assessed, accounting for 98.89%
according to assessment results. There were 672 clean and strong grassroots
Party units, exceeding the goal plans put forward in the province’s resolution,
155 units that fulfilled their tasks successfully, 55 units that completed their
tasks and 5 weak units. In 2008, 127 weak grassroots Party units that just
fulfilled their tasks in 2007 strove to fulfil their tasks completely. Of
37,632 Party members who were assessed, there were 3,800 members fulfilling
their tasks successfully, 28,340 fulfilling their tasks completely and 5,076
fulfilling their tasks. There were 416 Party members who failed to fulfil their
tasks and committed errors.
In addition to achievements, the conference admitted that assessing the quality
of grassroots Party units and Party members in some places hasn’t
closely reflected the realities.
Addressing the conference, Mr. Le Hong Phuong asked all levels of Party
Committee to supply specific instructions based on the realities of their
regions for each region and each grassroots unit to ensure that the supervision
and inspection efficiency will be improved and that there is a good relationship
between all levels of Party Committee and local residents. It is necessary to
produce solutions on improving the form of organizing grassroots Party units and
Party members in wards, communes, towns and administrative agencies to increase
the efficiency of Party units and establish the procedure for making the
assessment results of the quality of grassroots Party units and Party
members known to the public soon.
On
this occasion, the provincial Party Committee also awarded the certificates of
merit to 25 clean and strong grassroots Party units for three consecutive years.
