The conference

 The conference evaluated the youth works and action plans in Youth Month 2009 drawn up by southern provincial and municipal youth unions.

Accordingly, the 2009 youth work’ slogan is determined as “the youth with jobs” and the Youth Month’s slogan is “the youth acts for social security”.

A number of provinces and cities have drawn up plans and concretized their contents in line with requirements and duties of the HCYU Central Committee and other specific demands. Many of the youth unions are creative and have produced numerous ideas suitable to their localities.

 Addressing the conference, Vo Van Thuong, first Secretary of HCYU Central Committee, asked the provincial and municipal youth unions to harmonize policies and guidelines of the Executive Board and the Secretariat, be creative in implementation, support young people living in the countryside in financial aid and jobs  especially those who have lost their jobs in IZs, EPZs and returned to their hometowns to earn a living, and last but not least attract talented and devoted people to youth unions.
